High Ticket Digital Marketing Is It The Best Way To Work From Home

High Ticket Digital Marketing: Is It The Best Way To Work From Home?

Have you heard of high ticket digital marketing? If you are looking to make money from home, then you probably have. These high ticket digital marketing programs or high ticket affiliate marketing promise big commissions, so they sound great!

But is hight ticket affiliate marketing the best way to make money at home so that you can be a stay-at-home mom and earn a stable income?

In this post, I’m talking about high ticket affiliate sales, popular high ticket sales programs, pros and cons, and the number 1 best way to start making an income from home ASAP!

What is High Ticket Digital Marketing

High ticket affiliate marketing is promoting products (that are over $100) through affiliate deals that pay you a portion of the sale or a commission.

Usually, high ticket sales are more expensive products. Products that are over $100 and can be 5 figures, so making a commission on the sale, you receive a larger payout.

For example, if you become a high-ticket affiliate marketer selling a product for $1,000, your commission would be between $50 – $300 for average affiliate marketing commission rates of 5% – 30%.

Compare that to a $50 product, where the commission would range from $2.50 to $15 for 5% – 30%.

To make a livable wage off the high ticket affiliate marketing model, you don’t need as many sales as you do with affiliate marketing.

What programs, services, and niches have high ticket returns?

High Ticket Niches

If you want to start high ticket affiliate marketing, here are a few common niches that commonly have companies offering to pay a 30% commission on their naturally more expensive products.

  • Beauty, health, and fitness niches
  • Investment and finance
  • Marketing, business, and entrepreneurship
Products and Services

So, what kinds of products and services would you sell in these high-ticket sales niches?

In the beauty, health, and fitness industry, you will see a lot of fitness programs that promote weight loss, supplements, probiotics, sleep aids, CBD products, and programs.

In the investment and finance industry, you will see precious metals (like gold and silver) IRAs, currency trading tools, and crypto investment.

In the marketing, business, and entrepreneurship niche, you would sell eCommerce website subscriptions, website hosting, SAAS product promotion like email marketing services and software, funnel building software, and online courses.

Normal affiliate marketing results

So, what are the normal results for affiliate marketing?

According to a study by Influencer Marketing Hub,

  • 57% of affiliate marketers made $10,000 or below with affiliate marketing.
  • 16% made between $10k – 50k
  • 5% made between $50k – $100k
  • 7% made $100k – $150k

The good and bad of high ticket digital marketing

The good:
  • You make more commission on each sale, you need fewer sales than with regular affiliate marketing programs and products.
The bad:
  • It can be difficult to excel and make a consistent income.
  • You have put in time to build up a business that converts.
  • High Ticket affiliate sales programs have a higher barrier to entry.
  • All affiliate programs become saturated with other sellers, making it harder to make a sale.
  • There are unethical business models and scams to watch out for.

High Ticket Affiliate Marketing Legitimacy

Affiliate sales and high ticket affiliate sales are real, legitimate ways to make money at home. Every blogger, Instagrammer, or influencer you follow online who posts links to products are affiliate sellers. They receive a commission when anyone clicks and purchases a product from their link.

Legendary Marketer

However, there are a lot of sketchy business models out there to watch out for. For example, one that people keep asking me about in workshops is Legendary Marketer.

The Legendary Marketer is a specific course that teaches you how to become a high ticket affiliate salesperson.

Legendary Marketer is a course created by this guy, David Sharp, who teaches you how to do high ticket affiliate sales. He teaches you high ticket affiliate sales because the problem with regular affiliate sales with Amazon is that the payout is 3%. So, 3% of $20 = $.60. That is not necessarily worth my time to post Amazon links.

Selling courses to sell courses

So, this guy created this course that teaches you how to sell high ticket affiliate sales. However, in teaching you high ticket sales, his course also teaches you how to sell his course. So, people are marketing and selling his course, and for every person they get to purchase they make a commission on. That commission is much higher than an Amazon product because the cost of the course is $3,000.

Plug and Play

The problem that bothers me with this course is that it is all plug-and-play. So, people are using the same scripted reels and posts about it that you see over, and over, and over again on social media.

“Freelance Digital Marketing”

And through that, these affiliate salesmen started calling it “freelance digital marketing”. This is where it started to bother me because that is NOT freelance digital marketing!

That is not freelancing.

Freelancing is when a business owner pays you for a specific service.

What is Freelancing?

Freelancing is working as an independent contractor for a business owner, where you provide a service to the business.

Types of services you could provide to a business owner are:

  • General administrative services like email correspondence, webinar assistance, calendar management, and supply ordering.
  • Marketing services like creating sales funnels and lead generation.
  • Podcast management services like creating show notes and graphics.
  • SEO services like keyword research.
  • Design services like creating style and branding guides or designing printables.

For a list of 100 services you can provide as a virtual assistant, click here.

As a freelancer, you work as an independent contractor, not a full-time employee. You do not have to work full-time hours from 9-5, commuting to an office daily with a boss who does not understand when your child is sick.

Working as a freelancer DOES mean you can work part-time hours from home and determine when you want to work.

Why Freelancing is the Best Way to Work from Home

1. All the work is on your terms. You can work when you want, from where you want.

When I was freelancing, as a mom who did NOT have childcare at that time, I worked in the early morning hours and at naptime while my kids were napping.

2. You can earn as much or as little as you need.

Need an extra $1,000 a month working as little as 10 hours a week? It’s possible with freelancing. Need to make 6-figures working 20-25 hours a week? Also, possible!

Let’s go over the numbers.

Example 1, $1,000 in 10 hours a week:

Take 10 hours X 4.5 weeks a month = 45 hours each month

Take the number you want to make each month (1,000).

1,000 divided by 45 = 22.22

To make an extra $1,000 per month, you would need to charge $22 an hour.

Example 2, 6 figures in 20 hours per week:

Take 20 hours per week X 4.5 weeks in a month = 90 hours per month.

Take the number you want to make each month, (10,000) for a six-figure salary.

10,000 divided by 90 = 111

So, to make 6-figures per month, you will need to charge $111 an hour.

Freelance rates

That is totally doable as a freelancer! Freelance rates can vary depending on the service you provide and your level of expertise.

As a beginner offering administrative services, you can start your rates at $25 – $35 an hour.
Then, with more specialist services, you can begin increasing your rates from $35 – $70 per hour. To do this, you will increase your rate per hour with every new client you onboard.

When you have a specialized skill set and are an expert in your niche, you charge $75 and up for your services.

3. The startup costs and time are minimal.

Costs

As a freelancer, if you have wifi and a computer, then you are set to start working. You do not NEED anything else to start! One helpful thing is investing in software to send proposals, contracts, and invoices to clients. Those can range from $10-$30 per month, depending on which you choose.

Time

With high ticket affiliate sales, MRR, network marketing, Etsy sales, digital products, and blogging you are going to need to grow a following to make these types of businesses work.

Growing a following on IG, Facebook, a blog, or TikTok takes a lot of time and a lot of energy.

You need to make constant sales every single day.

These side hustles are marketed as passive income, but that isn’t true. Your job becomes marketing the business 24/7.

With freelancing, you do not need a social media following or presence to grow your business. And you likely only need 3-5 clients TOTAL. Not monthly or daily, but total.

Freelancing is something that you can start today and can begin landing clients in as little as 1 month. So, if your goal is to replace your income as fast as possible, then you should consider freelancing.
