Today, we’re chatting with HQMQ’s very own Director of Student Success, Taylor Trost, and it’s a good one. Taylor built her freelancing business and quickly landed five clients, all while teaching full time and planning a wedding. It was definitely a busy season for her, but she says she’d do it all over again.
Taylor made the decision to leave teaching because she was tired of being exhausted every day by 4 pm, and she was frustrated with the inflexibility of teaching. She came to one of my free workshops, learned everything she could about freelancing, and then jumped right into LFA. She was determined to make freelancing work for her. Almost immediately, Taylor joined one of our monthly “Land Your First (or Next) Client” challenges. She set goals for herself, held herself accountable, and it paid off. She landed FIVE clients in less than 60 days of purchasing the Live Free Academy!
In today’s episode, Taylor chats about how she found success as a freelancer, how she talked to potential clients with confidence (even though she was a beginner), how she fit client work into her schedule while she was working full time, and how she made the decision to resign from teaching.
